Today there was a marked change in Mimi’s morning habits. She, like all Champines I know, is a grouchy morning person. She will fight tooth and nail to not have to get up and ready for the day. At only three years of age, she frightens me to think about how horrible it may become in the future when she is a teenager! Yikes!
No, this morning she was very excited to get up and dressed because she was starting Pre-School! I could tell as she was brushing her teeth that she was still half asleep…she zoned straight ahead with her eyes all wide and a scant smile on her face. Surely she was thinking about what she’d be learning!
And she quickly put on her tights, her plaid skort, her little top.
I can’t wait to pick her up and learn how her day went! I hope this excitement remains and she is motivated to get up in the days ahead!
