Mimi has a new trick. After living with it all of her life, she has suddenly taken notice of the fact that we have a piano and all she wants to do is play it. Griffin has a guitar, Hannah has her violin, and now Mimi has the piano. Unfortunately, the piano has no piano bench, but not to worry! Leave it to her inherent resourcefulness, she compromises with my yoga ball.
If you’ve never seen a three foot tall/ three year old little girl play the piano while sitting on a yoga ball, you simply have not seen it all. It truly is an amazing trick; I’m thinking she might be a good candidate for the Chinese Acrobatic Circus. Her balance is impeccable, her stamina amazing. And she really gets into it, too, bouncing up and down and playing fierce and friendly, just like I imagine how the flappers of the Roaring ’20s played.
And then, when she is done, she simply strikes a Superman pose and rolls backwards off the ball. TA DA!
